About The Teacher
I completed my Primary Education at Methodist Junior School, Urugamuwa and my O/Ls at Nalanda College, Colombo. I was able to top Matara District ranking in my A/Ls (1993) while studying at Rahula College, Matara.
For the mere passion of a career in teaching, I chose to study Physical Science at University of Ruhuna over other Engineering Degrees. In October 1993, I taught my first Combined Maths class and within a couple of years, I was able to teach over 90% of Southern Province A/L Combined Maths students. I also serve as the Managing Director of Dekma Higher Educational Institute, Matara.
Over the years, I could gain trust of many students and have become privileged to pave way for the local Engineering Faculty entrance for most number of Advanced Level students in history of Sri Lanka with each year over 300 of my students witnessing this achievement.
Our Mission
It is no secret that the easiest Advanced Level subject for Southern Province students, that is Combined Maths, is considered as the hardest subject for students from other provinces. Therefore, this educational web portal has been provided for students from any province in Sri Lanka to reap the same level of benefit in their Advanced Level Combined Maths subject at a very affordable price and fair and equal distribution of knowledge among everyone.
About Dekma Higher Educational Institute
Founded by Janaka Abeywardana in 2006, today, Dekma Higher Educational Institute has become the foremost learning center for the highest number of advanced level students in the Southern Province in Sri Lanka. Every year its students top the ranking in island’s A/L Examination but not limiting to that, the Institute also ensures its students are well disciplined, nature loving, creative humans who are ready to step out into the society. Thus the theme, “Education along with Humanity” at Dekma Higher Educational Institute.
